Do not show all Activities

When I select the Activities tab of a contact, it shows me all the Activities as it should. With the “Show” dropdown list I can select which type of Activities I can see (mails, appointments, notes, etc…). So far so good. The trouble is, is that I get too much information when I select “E-mail” option. Right now it is searching through my entire mailbox but I only need it to search some specific folders.
Is there any way I can change this?

I’ve create links to files on my computer in the Shortcuts Navigation as per your previous tip. However, when clicking on those links I’m getting the following warning message;

Microsoft Office Outlook Security Notice
Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern.
This location may be unsafe.

Hyperlinks can be harmful to your computer and data. To protect your computer, click only hyperlinks from trusted sources.

Since I’ve created the links myself and since I’ve now seen this message countless of times already, I will never ever forget to click only hyperlinks from trusted sources. How can I make this warning go away for good?

Contact Activities not showing

Sometimes I do not see the Activities that are linked with a certain contact. Why is that?

Displaying the Office Clipboard

Where is the Office Clipboard in Outlook 2007?

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer

When trying to click on a hyperlink within an email I get the following error;
“This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.”

I am the administrator of this computer. How can I use these deactivated links again?

Sync via thumb drive

My mobile phone allows me to sync my contacts and calendar with Outlook on my main machine. I’m using a laptop as well and the sync application allows me to sync my contacts and calendar information back to Outlook on my desktop.
Is there a way I can have this “plug it in and it syncs” functionality with my email as well such as via a thumb drive? I’m using POP3 and therefore I cannot sync all my mail folders with the server.

Outlook Connector Extensions error

When starting Outlook I get the following error;
“The Add-in ‘Outlook Connector Extensions’ (msncon32.dll) cannot be loaded and has been disabled by Outlook.”

Compact Outlook Express prompts

I’m using Microsoft Office Outlook but I’m getting requests from Outlook Express to compact messages. The full prompts read;
“To free up disk space, Outlook Express can compact messages. This may take a few minutes.”

Why am I getting these prompts when I use Outlook and not Outlook Express and can I turn them off?

Named ranges error when importing

When trying to import an Excel sheet with contacts into Outlook I get the error;
“An error has occurred in the Microsoft Excel translater while getting the contents of a file system.
The Microsoft Excel file <filename> has no named ranges. Use Microsoft Excel to name the range of the data you want to import.”

How do I do that?

Updating contacts after company changed name

A company I work with a lot changed its name (it actually got taken over by another company). I have quite a few contacts from that company in my Outlook.
How can I update the company name of those contacts without editing every single one manually?
