Whenever I try to save a message it defaults to htm for HTML formatted messages and to txt for Plain Text formatted messages. I would like it by default to save to msg-files so it will keep all Outlook info and attachments. How can I do this?

I just upgraded from Office 2003 to 2007. I attempt to open an Outlook link with file extension XNK, but I receive the error message “Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using.”

I’ve got some gif-files in Outlook but they don’t animate.
How can I make them work?

We have some machines with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. If we use colored flags in 2003 we can see the corresponding color category in 2007, but if we select a color category in 2007 we cannot view the color in 2003.

Is there something we missing or another method where both 2003 and 2007 can use the same color coding methods either using colored flags or colored categories?

Is there any way to search a PST when the index are not complete?

I have recently migrated to Vista and the indexing is still crawling gently trough my 1.5Gb PST. However I still need to search ! Is there a way to perform an old fashioned, slow but effective search?

Instant Search only works on the folder that I’m currently in or on the entire mailbox. I know I’m in the right project folder but it has too many subfolders to do my search on.

Is there some way to make it possible to search the subfolders for the folder that I’m in as well?

I guess my Junk E-mail folder is broken; the icon of the folder holds a “blocked” symbol (red circle with a diagonal line through it) so it looks like it is disabled somehow.

I’ve received an attachment and when I double click in order to open it Outlook prompts me which application I want to open it with. Which application do I choose?

I have multiple accounts configured. Outlook names them after my POP3 server (mail.isp.com). I now added another account from the same provider and shows up the same as my other with a (2) behind it; mail.isp.com (2)

Can I change thiso be a bit more descriptive like “personal” and “business”?

How do I increase the maximum file size of an UNICODE pst file? The default size is 20 GB but as far as I know there must be a registry value that allows to increase the maximum up to approximately 4TB.
