Saving emails as pdf-files

Unlike in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, I don't seem to have an option to save my emails as pdf-files.

Is this correct and if so; How can I save emails as pdf-files anyway?

WebEx Toolbar/Ribbon buttons not available

We're using Cisco WebEx for on-line meetings. For this I used to have a WebEx Toolbar in Outlook to directly schedule on-line meetings from within Outlook. However, I no longer see this WebEx Toolbar nor does it show as a Ribbon tab in Outlook 2010. How can I make the WebEx integration available in Outlook again?

Mail Merge with Distribution List as source

I've got a long Distribution List (or Contact Group as they are called now in Outlook 2010) to which I want to send a message to. As I don't want to use the BCC field and actually also a bit interested to to personalize the messages, I wanted to use the Distribution List as the source for my Mail Merge. Is this even possible?

Always reply in HTML format

I've set my default message format to HTML but when I reply to a Plain Text message, it still doesn't come up in HTML format. This for instance really messes up my signature which includes some formatting and a picture. It there any way to force Outlook to always reply in HTML format?

People Pane adds GUID references to IE History

Since I'm using Outlook 2010, I see a lot of GUID references in my Internet Explorer History which makes it hard to use. For instance; {6BE240C7-DFC2-4366-8871-08A412F896EB} When I click on it, I get one of the following;

a warning which reads;
"Running a system command on this item might be unsafe"
a file not found error
a web page with the text;
"There are no items to show in this view."

Where exactly is this coming from and how can I make it stop poluting my IE History?

Sending from an additional Exchange address

I've got an Exchange mailboxes which holds multiple email addresses. I can receive mail sent to any of these addresses just fine, but I cannot find a way to choose which address to send out with. I've tried setting the From field with another address but that got automatically replaced with my default address or a bounce message saying that I don't have permission to do so. How can I send out a message with one of my mailbox aliases?

Contact updates from GAL in Notes section

For several contacts, the Notes field contains an overview of which fields have been changed. It appears that this new information is coming from the Global Address Book (GAL) of our company's Exchange server. While in general this is great, it creates some issues especially with synchronizing to my mobile phone due to the phone number formatting and the length of the Notes field. Can I disbale this automatic updating of my contacts?

Options tab for old add-ins in Outlook 2010

I've been using an add-in in Outlook 2007 (and previous Outlook version) which added its own tab in the Options dialog of Outlook to configure it. I've now upgraded to Outlook 2010 and the add-in still seems to work just fine but I can't find its configuration tab anywhere. It hasn't been added as an extra section in the new File-> Options dialog nor can I find anything on the Add-Ins tab of the Ribbon. How can I configure it in Outlook 2010 or should I look for a new add-in?

New mail alert for delegate mailboxes

In responds to the previous tip about Receiving new mail alerts when Outlook is closed, a reader wrote;

I receive new mail alerts just fine for my main Exchange account, but I do not receive any alerts for when a mail arrives in any of the Inboxes of my additional mailboxes. I’m an owner of some of these mailboxes and a delegate for others but need to take action on the emails that arrive in them.

Is there any way I can also get a new mail alert for these mailboxes?

We often see questions regarding getting new mail notifications when Outlook is closed. Ironically sometimes they are requests about how to get them and sometimes they are complaints about how to get rid of them. So, how do you get these new mail alerts or how do you get rid of them?

Calendar entries are duplicating

Looking at my Calendar, I see that several (not all) of my appointments and meetings are suddenly showing up multiple times (some even more than 5 times!). How did this happen and how can I troubleshoot and fix this?

Default template for Outlook items sent to OneNote

I sometimes use the "Send to OneNote" option in Outlook to archive instructional emails for future reference or to collect information for an upcoming meeting or task. Is there a way to change the default layout of these OneNote items and to add some default text as well?

Search Indexer add-in disabled (mssphtb.dll)

I'm having some issues with the search function in Outlook and I think it is because the Windows Search Email Indexer is disabled. I tried to enable it but Outlook disables it everytime. Why can't I enable this add-in and how do I get Search to function again?
