Hide flagged items of other mailbox in To-Do Bar

I've got an additional account in Outlook which I share with someone else. We often flag emails for each other which then show up in the To-Do Bar as well were it mixes with my own tasks and flagged mails.

I tried to disable this mailbox from displaying reminders in the To-Do Bar but that options appears not to be available.

Is there a way to only show tasks and reminders from emails in my personal mailbox and not from another?

Convert from a POP3 account to IMAP

I'm currently using a POP3 account but want to switch that to an IMAP account. Looking at my account settings, POP3 is grayed out so I can't simply change that to IMAP. How do I change from POP3 to IMAP without losing my current emails?

Update RSS feeds on demand only

I have quite a list of RSS feeds configured in Outlook and while that works great, I do find myself getting distracted quite quickly because of it.

Also, it seems that Outlook’s send/receive process is getting slower because of the amount of RSS feeds that I have.

As my mail is my main priority, is there a way to configure Outlook in such a way that it will only download RSS feeds when I want to?

Flags with reminders for IMAP accounts

I'm trying to set a reminder on a message but I only have the option to flag it or to clear the flag. There are no options such as Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Next Week, etc... which I'm supposed to get. This might have something to do with the fact that I'm using a IMAP account. Is there still a way to mark my messages for follow up or at least get them to show up as a Task in my To-Do Bar?

IMAP: Folder structure and Junk E-mail filter

In my IMAP account, the default mail folders like Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, etc are subfolders of my Inbox folder. I have been able to set the Sent Items and Deleted Items folders of my IMAP account so that they now work, but the Junk E-mail filter does not work. Why are my folders all under the Inbox folder and how can I make the Junk E-mail folder work with my IMAP account?

Add shared Contacts folder as Address Book list

When I access a shared Contacts folder from another user, I don't see the "Outlook Address Book" tab in the Properties dialog of that folder. How can I add a shared Contacts folder as an Address List to my own Address Book?

Cannot verify Security Certificate warning

When I start Outlook, I get an "Internet Security Warning" dialog box with the message;

The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified.
The target principal name is incorrect.

I clicked on "View Certificate" and installed the certificate, but I still get this dialog each time I start Outlook.

Clicking "Yes" each time allows me to use Outlook as normal but how can get rid of this dialog?

Sending from an additional Exchange address

I've got an Exchange mailboxes which holds multiple email addresses. I can receive mail sent to any of these addresses just fine, but I cannot find a way to choose which address to send out with. I've tried setting the From field with another address but that got automatically replaced with my default address or a bounce message saying that I don't have permission to do so. How can I send out a message with one of my mailbox aliases?

Set pst-file as default delivery for Exchange account

I have an Exchange account but I prefer to download everything to a pst-file. How can I configure Outlook so that not only all new mails arrive in my pst-file, but also all Sent Items, Calendar appointments, Contacts, Drafts, etc... will be stored in it and not in my Exchange mailbox?

New mail alert for delegate mailboxes

In responds to the previous tip about Receiving new mail alerts when Outlook is closed, a reader wrote;

I receive new mail alerts just fine for my main Exchange account, but I do not receive any alerts for when a mail arrives in any of the Inboxes of my additional mailboxes. I’m an owner of some of these mailboxes and a delegate for others but need to take action on the emails that arrive in them.

Is there any way I can also get a new mail alert for these mailboxes?

Receiving new mail alerts when Outlook is closed

We often see questions regarding getting new mail notifications when Outlook is closed. Ironically sometimes they are requests about how to get them and sometimes they are complaints about how to get rid of them. So, how do you get these new mail alerts or how do you get rid of them?

Download older messages from Gmail via POP3

I've configured Outlook to use POP3 to connect to my Gmail account but it did not download all my emails. While it did download my latest messages, it did not download my old messages. How can I download every message that I have in my Gmail account?

Disable automatic account selection in Outlook 2010

I have mutlipe accounts configured in Outlook 2010. When I create a new message, it automatically selects the sending account based on the folder that I'm currently in instead of using the default configured account. Is there any way to disable this?

Always reply with the same email address

I've got multiple email accounts but I actually only use 1 address to send my mails from. As Outlook always automatically uses the account that the message has been received with for sending as well, I need to change the account each time. How can I make Outlook always use the address of my default account instead?

Single account with 2 different SMTP servers

I have my email account configured on my laptop and when I'm at home, I use my Internet connection at home via WiFi to my router. When I'm on the road, I use my wireless 3G card. The issue is that when I use it at home, in order to send emails, I need to set the SMTP server settings to my "home provider" and when I'm on the road, I need to set it to my "3G provider". This is quite cumbersome. Can I configure my mail account with 2 SMTP servers so that I don't have to change it all the time?
