EULA keeps appearing

Every time I start Outlook, the Microsoft End-User License Agreement, comes up on the screen. I must have accepted it a dozen times right now.

Is there a way to make this go away permanently?

This most commonly happens for Office/Outlook 2003 installed on Windows Vista or Windows 7.

For the EULA to go away permanently, it needs to be accepted by an administrator. How to do this depends on your version of Windows.

Windows XP

Log on with the Administrator account and start Outlook. Accept the EULA and then close Outlook and logoff the Administrator. Now when you logon with your normal user account the EULA shouldn’t pop-up anymore.

Windows Vista

Right click on the Outlook shortcut icon and choose "Run as administrator". When prompted, either supply your administrator credentials or press Continue. Accept the EULA and then close Outlook again. Now when you start Outlook, the EULA shouldn't pop-up anymore.

Windows 7

Hold SHIFT when right clicking on the Outlook shortcut icon and choose "Run as administrator". When prompted, either supply your administrator credentials or press Continue. Accept the EULA and then close Outlook again. Now when you start Outlook, the EULA shouldn't pop-up anymore.

Run Outlook as an administrator once to
permanently accept the EULA.
